When the original "Senbonzakura" music video was uploaded to Niconico, it received more than 4.3 million views in less than a year. The song was also the second-most used song in Joysound's karaoke rankings for the first half of 2012. The song was adapted into a novel this winter, with original illustrator Ittomaru taking charge of the publication's character design and original story. And as VocaParty reported, during its first anniversary, an album consisting of the original work and different musical arrangements of the song was released.
Senbonzakura or translation,1,000 Cherry Blossom Trees, shall be the10th Niconico musical, and the cast for the live action musical was revealed on Thursday. The musical is adapting the Hatsune Miku song and music video, which was written and composed by Kurousa-P and with art by Ittomaru.
AKB48 member Haruka Ishida will have the honor to enter the stage as Hatsune Miku, fellow AKB48 member Miori Ichikawa will play Kagamine Rin, actor Yuki Torigoe will play Kagamine Len, and gravure idol and singer Maho Tomita will play Megurine Luka.

Additionally, actress Ai Hasegawa will play Akane Meiko, and actor and singer Kazuki Katou, the voice of Katekyo Hitman Reborn!'s Kikyo and also actor of Kamen Rider Drake in Kamen Rider Kabuto, will take the main role as Seine Kaito .As your notice both came with an original surname.

The project will be directed by Isamu Kayano (Macross The Musiculture) is directing the project, and Hideki Mitsui(Akazukin Cha Cha) will handle the scripts. To make thing interesting and stay with the original work's theme, VocaloidP, Kurousa-P is collaborating as co-producer as well. The musical itself will play at Tokyo's Ginza Hakuhinkan Theater from March 13-24.
If you interested in attending and for some reason are in Tokyo within the date mentioned, you can purchase tickets online now to see the performances in person. Additionally, those aren't able to attend but still interested can purchase "net tickets" to watch the musical online on Niconico which is said to be opened somewhere in this January.
