I'm assuming the Rankings Committee decided that the UTAUloid isn't getting much attention, and thus decided to include only the Top 10 UTAUloid weekly rankers in this new Voca/UTAUran. The new structure plays in a rather... awkward order, as the UTAUran, along with Nami's opening statements and all, are inserted after Vocaran #11 and before Vocaran #10.
To prevent confusion, our new rankings template will not follow the play-order, but instead be segmented into the Vocaloid Rankings and UTAUloid Rankings sections, with the latter placed after.
[Reigan] A new format to the rankings >_< Do comment on the new template for the rankings! Yoroshiku!
Lots to like and note this week. First off, as we've expected and mentioned a few weeks back, Senbonzakura, being its first Anniversary yesterday (17th September), appears twice in the Vocaran this week - At #15, and This Week in History #3. And we will probably continue to see double-Senbon for a few more weeks.
Senbonzakura's not the only song to double-rank though; kemu's Kamisama Nejimaki also takes up this week's #30 and #24, with the former being an Utatane Piko cover by cillia. Extremely rare for Piko to appear in the rankings, albeit not with an original song.
Anyway, I have quite a number of picks this week, which I'll list down as follows:
#13 - Raisei de A Imashou by WakaG feat. IA and Hatsune Miku - This is one awesome Wafuu (Japanese Style) duet featuring Miku and IA with Katanas and traditional clothing. And the PV's done by Mie no Hito. What's not to like?
#10 - Dive Drop by Akagami feat. GUMI - This was a surprise for me. Beautiful PV effects and lyrics, and nice blend of GUMI Power and Sweet.
#7 - Blender Blender by Hikarishuyo feat. Kagamine Rin - This is not a new song really, as Hikarishuyo included this in his C82 album Gekkou no Uragawa released a month back. However, it's a new upload, so I guess it counts. My favourite brand of Rin-Rock by my favourite Rin-Rock producer, what can I say?
#3 - Koi Tsubaki Hime by PolyphonicBranch feat. IA - Yet another great upload by PB, this time a Wafuu song featuring IA.
#2 - Tsukimi Yoru Rabbit by papiyonChouchoP feat. Hatsune Miku - Papiyon's piano-play always catches my attention, and this certainly did. I only stopped looping this song yesterday as I was spamming Senbonzakura derivatives all day long to commemorate the anniversary.
#1 - Shounen Camera by 40mP feat. GUMI - 40mP's been utilizing GUMI a lot lately. Not that it's a bad thing, seeing how his previous song Hachigatsu no Kaze and this, Shounen Camera, were both heartfelt songs. I love how 40mP manages to seemingly incorporate his life's experiences (in this case, his child) into his new songs. You'll always have my respect sir.
Well, I'll start picking up songs that's not from the top 30 for a change :)
rain drop by Jiwata Neho feat. GUMI. This is a pretty nice soothing song to listen to when you're having a bad day. With GUMI's Power it just adds colour to the song, such a sad song ;w;
Dam Shokunin by Kara-P feat. Kasane Teto. Personally, I don't listen much to UTAU songs but this song just blew me away. It's a story about a girl holding in all her sadness and not relying on anyone for help. She created a 'dam' to hold the amount of tears/suffering she had. And when she wanted to cry, no tears were shed at all. Until one day when her friends told her it was okay to cry, she shed a tear at first, and then started to cry, but now she's not alone to 'clean up' the tears as she has friends to help her this time.
Bukiyou Otoko by NiR-Gerda feat. Hatsune Miku Append. I must say, this a very nice soothing song to listen to. Too bad I couldn't fully appreciate the song as my Japanese is still not good enough T^T But nevertheless, the melody line is pretty and to top it off with Miku's whispery voice is just *w* Not to forget that beautiful illustration. Oh and, whenever you pause the video, the song title in the video still moves around, such a nifty trick they did there XD. This song is included in NiR-Gerda's album released at Piapro.
