It has been a long while since the last Producer Spotlight, been busy lately. But well, here I am back again! XD Since it's the first Producer Spotlight for the year 2013, Akemashite Omedetougozaimasu, Happy New Year!
This week I'm gonna feature producer Giga-P. Here's his well known original work. Masked bitcH, feat GUMI.
Konbanwa~! It's been....a very long time since the last Producer Spotlight, sorry about that! I was busy! (Like studies, checking out NND everyday, gaming....*cough*)
This week's spotlight is on producer EZFG! I can't really choose my favourite song EZFG since I love all of it, but here's a first pick :)
Cyber Thunder Cider, feat. VY1, EZFG's debut song, and also his biggest hit
Konbanha! This week's Producer Spotlight is on Eshijyanai KEI, or also known as Hayashi KEI. The usual drill, my favourite song from KEI-san :)
Hello Worker, Megurine Luka.
KEI-san mostly produces rock songs, and if you browse through his Mylist, you'll notice that he has been around the Vocaloid community for quite some time, he has been uploading songs since the year 2008!
Here's one of KEI's older hit song.
Tower, Megurine Luka
If you noticed, KEI's has quite his own style when tuning the Vocaloids, whenever I listen to his songs, I just noticed that his vibratoes are just beautiful! It has depth and it usually executes immediately. And IMO, this is where KEI-san develops his own unique style, not to mention he writes great songs too!
Currently he uses Megurine Luka, Hatsune Miku, Gumi, Kagamine Len and VY1. Let's have a look at his VY1 work!
That's all for this week :) I better get back to studying......Oh and Today's AFAMY! Do drop by our booth and challenge yourself to our Song Trivia ^_^
Hello Hello! The time has come again for this week's Producer Spotlight! Today's spotlight is on Vocaloid producer kaoling. Here's my pick from kaoling's wonderful mylist!
Kami no Namae ni Ochirumono, sung by Hatsune Miku.
kaoling is a producer who specializes in traditional/folk music, not only that, kaoling also writes trance songs! kaoling currently has Hatsune Miku, Gakupo, Gumi, Kaai Yuki, CUL, IA -ARIA ON THE PLANETES-, as for UTAUloids, kaoling is using Sorane Rana and Tsukishiro Hakupo.
Here's kaoling's most recent work, Ame no Niwa (Rain's Garden) sung by IA.
kaoling's works are filled with interesting sounds and it brings out the vocals beautifully. The moment I first heard Ame no Niwa, it just reminded me that how amazing kaoling is. She literally created a 'world' in this song.
Here's another traditional/folk song that I like.
FREJYA.sys, sung by CUL and Gumi
kaoling is definitely one of a kind producer, not many approach traditional/folk music in the Vocaloid community. Also, each of her songs uses a lot of voice parts, this makes the song sounds 'thick' and filled with harmony.
Currently kaoling has released one Vocaloid album, "Ochita Watashi no Te wo Hiite" Do support her by buying her album!
That's all for this week! And I might be taking a break from Producer Spotlight next week due to exams. >_< I'll try my best to write next week's article if I manage to squeeze out some time :)
Selamat petang! How y'all doing? Its time for this week's Producer Spotlight! Today's spotlight is on producer Camellia! To start off, here's my favourite song written by Camellia. The first 5 seconds of the song blew me away.
Bokura ha Bocchi (We're all alone), written by Camellia feat. Hatsune Miku
Camellia is a producer who's more specialized into rock and techno music. Recently Camellia has been uploading more techno music though. To be more specific, he writes trance, 8-bit, Drum'n'Bass, Nerdcore and many more! Here's another song from Camellia, a Drum'n'Bass song with a wee bit mix of heavy guitar accompaniment.
Haguruma Philosophy (Cogwheel Philosophy)
Camellia is also a producer who loves to do parody songs and remix songs that you wouldn't wanna even approach lol! Remember the Popopopo~n meme in Japan? Well, he did a remix of it, a techno-ish Popopopo~n....
Its so amazing I don't even know how to express it in words....
Good morning! Selamat pagi! Today's a Saturday, and its time for the weekly Producer Spotlight! Today, I decided to give some love for DATEKEN. As usual, do have a listen to my favourite song from DATEKEN. "Tsumugi Uta" sung by the Kagamine twins.
DATEKEN is quite a senior producer in the Vocaloid community. His first work was uploaded to NND in the year 2008. Prior to that, DATEKEN uploaded his original songs to a music site named muzie. Well then lets have a look at DATEKEN's first work.
"PROTECT CODE", a trance song with both twins rapping! For his first work, it was pretty good. DATEKEN has been using DTM (Desktop Music) Since 1998. Many praised DATEKEN's musical knowledge and his skills in mixing. DATEKEN also produces a wide genre of music such as jazz, techno, ethnic, pops, Chinese-styled songs etc.
Here's an ethnic song by DATEKEN, "Jutenija" (pronounced as Yuteniya)
For this song, DATEKEN made up a whole new language and used it as the lyrics. This song is also one of DATEKEN's notable work
And let's now have a look at DATEKEN's jazz works. Here's "One Room, All That Jazz" just freshly released this year.
DATEKEN also released 2 albums, "D.A. technology" and a remix album "D.A. technology -remixes-". He also contributed a song in "the VOCAJAZZ vol.2" album (The song being "One Room, All That Jazz")
Here's some little tidbit on DATEKEN. DATEKEN was born in Hokkaido, not long ago he graduated from his university and is now a salaryman. Its amazing how a young person can have this much musical knowledge and the skill to write good songs! There's many songs of DATKEN that I would like to introduce too but I'm afraid this post will be flooded with videos XD
Good evening! Its time again for this week's Producer Spotlight! As requested by fellow writer Agidyne, today I will introduce producer Hi Ton! As usual, let's have a listen at my favourite work from Hi Ton-san.
Hi Ton is a producer who focuses on producing rock songs. Among his works, you can find lots of shoegazingrock songs. Although Hi Ton is not that popular compared to most producers, but I do believe that he needs some more love!
Let's have a look at his first work.
When Hi Ton started out, his uploads at NND used default Miku art, he only started using illustrations since his 8th song.
Hi Ton songs are usually focused on 'love' as the main theme. Hi Ton says that his favourite musical is the guitar. And also, the guitar parts in his songs are all recorded plays by himself, not by DTM!
He also recently bought the new VOCALOID3 IA -Aria On The Planetes- and has already released two songs using IA.
So what do you think about Hi Ton? I'm quite fond of his works too XD Well that's all,See you again next week!
Its time for this week's Producer Spotlight! Today I would like to feature a very talented producer, Lemm. Let's first have a listen at my favourite song from Lemm, Absolunote. Absolunote is also Lemm's most highly viewed song on NND.
Lemm usually produces eletronic songs and Drum'n'Bass songs. His songs usually gives off a serene feeling, most fans said that listening to Lemm's songs soothes their hearts. Lemm use of eletronic sounds is very interesting and fun to listen to.
Let's look at Lemm's first work, kirisame
Lemm debuted in the year 2011, which is quite recent! He is a user of Hatsune Miku Append, and he used Hatsune Miku Append Sweet for this song. Lemm is also quite a respectable composer among the community. Nishima Thorndique (another Vocaloid producer) commented that Lemm's use of chord progression is very interesting to look at.
Here's another favourite song of mine, ASTER.
Just recently, Lemm finally produced his first album, Arkhē, and this album was sold at VoM@s 20. Here's the crossfade!
Well, that's all. Here's all the links you might need.
Hello everyone! Its time for Producer Spotlight! Today, I'm gonna introduce a VOCAROCK producer, Nanahoshi Kangengakudan, or his P name Fujun Isei Kouyuu-P. Let's have a listen at my favourite song from Nanahoshi-san!
Shuumatsu no Mythologia 終末のミュートロギア
Nanahoshi-san's music style is more focused on VOCAROCK , all of his work has electric guitar as the main accompaniment. He started producing Vocaloid songs since year 2010 and has been gaining fame steadily. Here's his hit song , Sefure セフレ.
Nanahoshi-san has a 'trademark' of his own. His songs usually have a electric guitar solo part just before the last chorus strikes. And because of his awesome performance, the fans named this solo part 'Super Nanahoshi Time'. (you can see Super Nanahoshi Time tags or comments at his videos) Nanahoshi-san usually records the guitar accompaniments while the other instruments are done using DTM (Desktop Music).
And here's a video of Nanahoshi-san playing the guitar part to one of his songs, CUNE TUNE. The original video has been deleted at NicoNicoDouga but I managed to fish it from Youtube
Hello and welcome to VocaloidSync's first official blog post! I'm one of the authors Reigan and I'll be bringing you weekly producer spotlights and some of the latest Vocaloid news! Today I would like to write about producer Rerulili, you might probably know him from Mr. Music
To start off, let's have a listen at his most renowned work, Mr. Music.
Rerulili (or Toushahi-P) is a producer known for his wide musical knowledge and he is able to compose songs of different genres. His songs are usually pop, funk, rock and ballad genres. Let's take a look at Rerulili's first work
Itsumoyori Nakimushi na Sora feat. Hatsune Miku. He uploaded this work in the year 2009 and until now, this song is still as popular among the Vocaloid community. Itsumoyori Nakimushi na Sora successfully hit 2nd spot in the Weekly Vocaran #102, and since then, many people have been eyeing on this new promising producer.
True enough Rerulili delivered one after another without fail on what the fans expected (maybe more!) His next big hit was Knife and according to Rerulili this is a song of mixed genres including EDO, Funk, Afro, and Rock.
How about a funk song from Rerulili? He's one of my favourite producer who produces great funk songs
In addition, Rerulili himself is quite a good singer!
Rerulili can play the guitar, piano and bass very well too. So far, Rerulili has dished out 3 albums, Mugic, Mr. Music and Rhythmism.
That's all for now! Here are several links that you may find useful
